At Grade Interstate RR Crosing

There was a crossing on I-87 (NYS Northway) a few miles North of Latham, NY but south of the Mohawk River.   This was part of the original NYC line from Schenectady to Cohoes.  It was scheduled to be closed, and only had an occasional train. The train had to stop, and the crew flag the interstate.

 

That could be a real challenge for the train crew.

I know where that is...was that not the same location of a deadly bridge collapse?
