Ok...the trainweb server seems to be down for the member sites, but check back, it shouldn't be down for long.

I had a cab ride on a local Santa Fe fraight from Prescott, Arizona to Clarkdale, Arizona. The tracks are now removed that served Prescott and another railroad is operating freight and tourist train from drake to clarkdale now. Drake is where the spur of the arizona central from clarkdale meets the BNSF. I will have to look at my slides to see what kind of an engine it was.

Server is still down, or maybe it was up and now it is down again. Cab rides are hard to come by these days. I haven't had a ride in a cab in a long time. I have been in cabs but not or a ride. I just wish it could go back to the good ole days on the WC where cab rides were an everyday thing.

Its back up! I was working on my site yesterday when it crashed, I wasn't too happy to say the least.

I get cabrides on one of my local tourist railroads almost every time I go up there and I've been in an F unit on another tourist railroad (the first is 4 miles each way, the second is over 50) but I still haven't gotten one on any freight railroad (NS would fire anyone who gave me a cabride, or even a cab tour).

Zach,Those are really good pictures, and I'm sure you had a great time doing so.
Don't guess you know where the tanks on the DODX were going,do you. We get
to see the DODX cars here in Louisville once in awhile as the P&L serves Ft.Knox.[:)]

Just a tip: Remove the date of the cabride from your site, if someone from UP sees that someones going to lose their job.

The RR cop is gonna lose his Job??? The railroad police officer and the former road foreman of engines in Poplar Bluff got me on there, no big deal.

The DODX cars...don't have a clue where they were headed for, all I know is we were taking my sister home and caught it while going down the highway, didn't get to see the locos up close [V][:(]. Oh well, that won't be the first time I've missed a train, or the last. I'll definatly see some more trains on that line, because the sister has at least one more year of school in that area. [:)]

The NS isn't the only one that would fire the crew for giving cab rides. Any class one will. Cab rides don't sit very well with the FRA. This isn't to say they don't happen. There are plenty of crews out there who enjoy the company and showing off their equipment.
I recently had the good fortune of snagging a very lengthy cab ride on a couple of engines and spent a large portion of the time in the right hand seat![8D][8D]
Suffice it to say that this was on a class one, took a couple of days and was one AWESOME experience.[8D][8D]
