Don't know the fate of  the locomotive fleet but for now four high short hood GP9's (2 in N&W paint and 2 in Chessie paint) are out of work.

Sounds similar to the fate of the Apache Railway in north-eastern Arizona -- owned by a paper mill that closed, and with it being the only customer there was no more need for the railroad.

Reliable source says they made the last run December 28 when they brought back a string of empty coal hoppers form the power plant at Canadys, S.C. Plant switched from coal to natural gas.
