That's great, Ed. Thanks.
Mike
Looking at the classic book "Train Watchers Guide to Chicago (3rd Edition), the author, John Szwajkart (try typing that quickly) states "BRC rails were used throu 80th Street, and Forest Hill to reach the C&O's Rockwell Street Yard".
Further the book states "The road's major yard (C&O) was Rockwell Streeet Yard near 75th and Kedzie. This facility was leased from teh BRC and a small engine terminal was located at the west end under the Kedzie overpass."
The map which accompanies the book shows the Rockwell Street Yard to be on the north of the BRC line.
Hope this helps,
Ed
C&O's Rockwell St Yard was located on the BRC. Back in the 1960's and 1970's, did the BRC mainline run to the south of the yard, or north, or both? Looking at historical satellite images, it's difficult to tell.
