Seatlle to China to Moscow Boat and Rail routing?

Does this sound right? so I can send a 20ft contaner to Moscow via Shanghi
be put on a train go through mongilia and end up in Moscow on the transsiberan?
there is a regular rail service from Shanghai to Beijing
from Beijing via Ulan Bator to Irkurst on Lake Baikal
its called the Trans Mongolian Express
meets up with the Trans Siberian in Irkust and from there its only 7
(yuk!) days to Moscow............
