Penciltuckians/Penntucky comes from people equating Pennsylvania's ruralness with Kentucky hillbilly-ism. Or something like that. I wonder if there's people out there calling Kentucky Kensylvania.

....I doubt if I ever heard Kentucky mentioned in that contex while in Pennsylvania.....Have a lot of State forest and Park land in Pa. and farm land....but much of the area is highly populated and of course one of the original 13 colonies where white population started.
PS: radivil....Am familiar with near your area....Had family in Lock Haven and visited there many times. Including the Piper Plant. Like that part of Pa.
