Somewhere I do have a rules test for I think the 1962 Canadian UCOR.  When you're ready to take it, I'll see if I can find it.Big Smile

What!?! Are you trying to give me heart palpitations. It has been too long since I have taken any kind of test.Surprise

Thanks for the link. I must not have been using the right keywords. I saw that site a number of years ago when it still seemed to be under construction. That fellow has done a really nice job getting it all hyperlinked and interactive.

The inside front page is different from my Dad's copy, in that on the site they only list the CN and its subsidiaries. The CP version lists all of the CP, CN, their subsidiaries, as well as some US roads that also used the UCOR. I saw on a site once though, that after the US roads agreed to the final version, they almost immediately replaced it with a modified version which they still called UCOR. In the end the version you provided the link for was used only by CN, CP and their subsidiaries and affiliates.

I have bookmarked this link. Thank you.

Bruce

I used Google and found a site, CNR in Ontario, that on it's site has the 1951 UCOR.

http://cnr-in-ontario.com/Rules/index.html

There is a Yahoo group called Dispatching that has in it's files section both the Canadian UCORs from 1951 and 1962, plus the US UCOR 1950, the 1967 Consolidated Code (in a couple of different formats), New Haven and the last PRR rule book, plus more recent, modern rule books.  You have to become a member to access the files, though.  Of the few groups I'm on, it's probably the most inactive of them.

I have the US versions of the UCOR, but not the Canadian ones.  Somewhere I do have a rules test for I think the 1962 Canadian UCOR.  When you're ready to take it, I'll see if I can find it.Big Smile

UCOR and Canadian MBS Rule Books on the web

Does anyone know links to complete texts of either the 1951 or 1962 "Uniform Code of Operating Rules" books. Also, is there a link to the Canadian "Manual Block Signal" rule book, in use prior to the adoption of the Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) book in use today?

At one time there were links to both books, but foolishly I didn't bookmark them at the time. I am having no luck at all using Google or Yahoo to find such links. I would appreciate any assistance you could offer.
