The Presidential Candidates' Comments - On Transportation
Posted by MP57313 on Monday, August 30, 2004 1:30 AM
Auto Clubs' (AAA) Westways magazine (Sep/Oct 04) asked the two main presidential candidates a series of questions on transportation. While the main focus is on highways, a couple of the questions did include 'rail' in the subject.

While It appears that Kerry is the only one specifically mentioning mass transit and railroads in his answer, I wi***o point out that the SAFETEA legislation referred to by the Presedent is a comprhensive program to promote better, more efficient and safer transportation that includes rail (both freight and passenger) and mass transit elements

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.
