Other RR Forums?
Posted by BNSFNUT on Monday, August 23, 2004 8:04 PM
I just was wondering how many posters here are on other railroad related forums. I some times see a name that I know on other forums.
The two that I am on are:
www.railfan.net
www.brrm.net
I was on the Atlas forum until it died and will get back on it when it is working again.

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.

There is also trainweb.com, with its Amtrak forum far and away the most popular one there.

I am a member of Trainweb.com and railpictures.net. I goto, but am not a member of, trainorders.com and railroad.net.

Wow I haven't been to Trainweb.com in so long, I had to check to see if I could still sign in with my user name and password; I can.

I recently posted to the MR forum, after learning of some mergers and acquisitions.

I am also a regular contributor to the Wisconsin & Southern (WSOR) and WisRail YahooGroups, and occasionally contribute to the Illinois Chicago & Eastern (ICErail) group.

And I also contribute to the WWW with my website... [swg]

Yahoo Groups has literally hundreds of forums, mostly on specific topics (layout design, operations, a specific RR, or a specific era, or on other topics like casting, metal working, software, tools, etc). You have to register, but its free.

I go to Yahoo Kentucky groups(don't post that often), L&N Yahoo group(have only posted couple of times, but enjoy getting the emails they send).

I check out Railfan.net only for news that is about Kentucky. I have only posted there a couple times also.

Abandonedrailroads.homestead.com is a good website also. I like to read through the postings on there.
