Hitched ride on westbound canalboat to Utica today on the Erie canal...Went thru on eof the largest lift locks in the US at Little Falls NY at Lift of 54 feet.
Saw some great vanatge points for the CSX(Conrail) Main line from the canal.
reomend that you can rent a canal boat and take some great pitures here of the trains. Post to this list and I will post were you can rent a canal boat or go to NYcanals.com

Hey you're missing Hobo Days!?!
You can't possibly get there in time at the rate you're going...lol...
Maybe if can catch a UPS train...
