My favorite railroad is the original Carolina & North-Western that ran from Chester, SC to Edgemont, NC. I pretty much know the history of the railroad like the back of my hand, but one piece of the puzzle I can't find is when the track was removed between Maiden, NC and Dallas (Gebo), NC. <br /> <br />Can anyone help me with this information? <br /> <br />Also, does anyone know what is going to happen to the Gastonia to Gebo section that was abandoned earlier this year?
