Just retired from the Navy with several years of O.P. hands on repair. Any old R.R. machinist out there like to talk about O.P.s in locos?
Most marine O.P.s have aluminum main bearings which flash off for most any reason.
Even operated tubrocharged Fair Banks. Any turbo H series? Beloit WI. still makes em!
