That is a good question. If this train ran on the schedule that was posted, the LA-Needles run would be ok. It would be a long day, but you know how BNSF is about their super trains. I would imagine that if they ran from Needles to LA, I would think that BNSF crews ran from Kansas City to Amarillo TX, that would bypass Wellington Kansas, the regular crew change point. If they were to double tracked CTC from Pampa TX to just outside of Emporia KS, all trains could make that run and therefore cancel Wellington all together, but for some reason, they just can't see that. It would be a long run for anyone, but the way that BNSF runs, I think it would be feasible. But if anybody has opinion on this, let me know or if somebody has the best answer for this question. Please type it out so I will know.
Thanks, Dru

Recently, BNSF - NS ran a Super Z intermodal test train for UPS from New York to LA. Normal BNSF crew changes were dropped for this train in Fort Madison IA, Clovis NM, and Barstow CA. Did the crew run from Chicago to Kansas City? Would LA to Needles be another crew run for this train? What about the run west of Kansas City?
