The Catskill Mountain RR has a pretty informative website, with lots of info including the TRAINS article in the May 2009 issue.

Off Topic     For historynmaven a linked article first; Referencing the deceased Firefighters:  (My son was a firefighter RIP. Hence my curiosity)

http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/08/18/2-firefighters-are-dead-in-deutsche-bank-fire/

and the references to the JohnGault Corp's problems with the de construction of the DB Bldg.

Not certain if this is relevant, but John Galt is a fictional character from Ayn Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged.  The name was also used for the shell corporation that oversaw the dismantling of the Deutsche Bank building in NYC, which caught on fire resulting in the deaths of two firefighters in 2007.

I've been following CMRR's[progress in getting the line open between Kingston , NY and Phoenicia, NY. According to the wikipedia article, there are two bridges in need of major repairs and that work is to commnce on repairing one (Bridge C9 near Kingston) this summer. However the article does not cite a source for this information. Does anybody know if this is indeed true? I would love to see the whole line open once more.
