It was what I saw then, It was definitely in GM blue and white and I could definitely tell it was an EMD demo unit I even wrote part of the demo unit number down last 3 digits were 099. I couldnt make out the remaining digit. So it was unit #9099.

The Diesel Shops shows that the following GMTX GP60's are on lease to NS.  One of these may be the EMD demo unit.  Did you catch the road number for the unit?

Former EMD GP60 demo in Roanoke, Virginia
Posted by Locojunkie on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 2:13 PM

Hi All, I was taking a peek at the Roanoke Web cam when I saw something that I could not believe my eyes! Was I seeing things or did I see Former EMD GP 60 demo unit lashed up with Norfolk Southern power in the Roanoke yard web cam today (3/9/2011) at 11:30 am.  I was trying very hard to take a picture of it on the web cam with no such luck.  Did Norfolk Southern purchase one of the demo units?
