Run-By #5 / RGS #6
Well, this concludes Lisa's shots of the "5" Run-By's we caught during this event. Hopefully I did her shots justice by picking just a few such that I can share just 2 or 3 shots of each from both sides of these unique pieces of Rio Grande Southern history of the Galloping Goose engines
I still have one more "special" post still to make on this event that I know you will enjoy...

Lisa's Turn!!!!!!!
Now keep in mind, those shots I just posted I took with my Point-n-Shot at the end of our day, the rest of the time I had the video camera going. On the other hand, Lisa has up for the days outing and she setup to take stills on FIVE Run-By's at various locations along the track. If you know Lisa, she can take some dang good roster shots with her Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. My challenge is to pick the shots to post from all those she took!!!!!!! So, here we go with Run-By #1 with RGS #7 leading the way!!!!!!!
I know CRRM asked to have RGS#3 join in Goosefest 2009 and in return Knotts Berry Farm could later have CRRM equipment run there for a special event; but, something fell through.CRRM also had hoped to also get RGS#4 to this event and the last I heard she in Ridgway, CO getting restored for operation. She was the only one that was not operational...RGS#5 came to the event from Deloris, CO where it's been run on the Cumbres & Toltec and the Durango & Silverton lines that I hope to do some day! It's been a long time since all of them have operated together but CRRM nearly pulled it off in 2009.The original RGS#1 (Built 1931) was lost to time long ago and I believe #6 was partially built from #1's parts. The Replica I believe was built in 2000.
