Went to the National Musuem of Transportation here in St. Louis........The big EL SD45 has a blown Crankshaft.....the MRS S-2 has a blown piston ring, the 1522 is standing in the shed never to steam again, and the A&M RS1 21 was out and about putting around. The new Street car loop has a TIGHT direction changing curve....however......I got a great deal in the gift shop..........4 complete years of TRAINS for $5.00! I purchased 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977. Its fun to look back at how railroading was then, and to campare it to today. There was a sall artical about the proposed "Orin Line" to the first photo of a Conrail Locomotive.........nice photos of the Bicentenial Locomotive....and the July 1976 issue was a real treat...........Dont expect any replys to this, but figured you guys would like to see.....Even shows a SDP40F 557 fresh from lagrange in the January 1974 issue, to the photo of it being scrapped in the December 1977 issue! E-mail me if any of you are selling the complete years of TRAINS.
