Shot # 2 appealed to me also, with the rest of the train trailing away into the distance, it made for a more eye pleasing composition.
Almost looks like a mechanical snake or centipeed, running down the tracks.

Mike's shot at Byron Hill mulitple times, but I've never been. I still need to get down to Waterford Ave with you a Keith sometime this summer.

We were north of Duplainville, Wis. a couple of miles. There's a former driveway that used to cross the tracks... now there are baracades there that closed the driveway. Makes for a good place to park.

As for the load, it was a Molten Sulfer train.

I agree. I just can't decide which pic I like best. I think I like #2 best, thought #1 was a
tad too dark.

Last night I posted the latest installment of Trackside with Erik and Mike. This week there's a CP-leased CEFX AC4400CW, a BNSF hopper in beautiful paint, a hot CN unit, and for my eastcoast friends, a CSX locomotive for the voting photo. (Enjoy Joe!)
