No need to vote or to be up in arms at all!  You control how the posts are listed...just follow your prompts.

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.

Trains Newswire Commenting Poll (vote!)

"Up, up, and away!  That seems to be the odd idea by whoever designed the commenting portion of the site.

Anyone who has access to the Newswire and has seen multiple comments may have noticed that they are listed in ascending order, with the newest comments listed first, and the oldest listed last.  While I feel this design has essentially been an abomination to the Internet almost entirely, it is especially odd on this site.

First, the forums themselves are designed with the original post listed first, and comments are then made in descending order, with new posts being added at the bottom.  On the Newswire, it's the opposite, with the first comments being listed at the bottom, with new comments being added above them.  Even stranger is how this seems to "paddle upriver".  You read the Newswire article from top to bottom, then you scroll past all the advertisements to get to the comments, and then you scroll to the very bottom of the comments to see what was first posted, then you scroll upwards as you read all the replies, and, finally, you scroll down past the comments to the reply box right below if you wish to add your own comment.  Why, why?????  In what universe does this make any sense?  I'd thought it'd be normal to just continue downward the whole way, especially since you'd be most likely to make your comments based on the last post, so you'd want to have to scroll down as little as needed (and it's nice to be able to continue seeing the latest posts for reference while typing, rather than having to scroll up and down in long chains to check on stuff).

Who here is annoyed with this odd upwards setup in the Newswire threads?  Should the setup CHANGE, or should it STAY?

I vote CHANGE.  What abotu each of you?  One-word votes are fine if you'd like.
