What you want is the "Index of Model Rauilroad Publications". Click on the "Model Railroader" logo, then it is listed as the last item under "References" on the left. I am sure if you use "Los Angeles" or "LAJ" it will give you the issues involved. I think Trains.com should feature this index more prominently!

I am looking for information on the Los Angeles Junction Railway Co. (LAJ)
I know that there was an artical in Model Railroader Magazine (MR) as well as Trains Magazine however, a search of the Trains.com web site failed to return any results. I think the March 1996 issue of MR is the issue I am looking for but again searching the web site failed to answer the question. I am planing to build a HO scale layout of the LAJ so any help would be great.
Thank you and Happy Holidays
