So much for Midtown Direct. The up side is you get to see the Great Lackawanna Hoboken Terminal and can even take a ferry across to Manhattan on those nice summer days

Well, the NY Post announced that NJ Direct Express commuter trains will not be allowed to enter Penn Station in NYC during the GOP Convention. Trains will be rerouted to Hoboken and the commuters will have to go in via PATH or ferryboat.

New York commuter trains will be searched with bomb sniffing dogs prior to entry.

About 500,000 people use Penn Station each day.
