Hi.
Is it prototypically to mix red striped CDOT Cars with blue striped metro north cars in one train or does they run always for there own?
Thanks,

MU cars stay with their own type since CDot cars are equipped with both pantographs and third-rail shoes and Metro North cars are third-rail only.
On locomotive-hauled trains, Metro North and CDot equipment are mixed. A similar set-up exists with Metro North and NJ Transit on the diesel hauled trains where the equipment is pooled and anything can turn up anywhere.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
