Csx has another hopper down in hamler.except i think they derailed it on purpose to scrap it. wouldnt they have left it upright or it doesnt matter?

I doubt they would derail something just to scrap it Joe. Derailing damages more than just the car and people tend to get in trouble for derailment for that reason. Besides it is easier just to keep it on the rails and put the car on a track where the cutters can reach it.

the hopper had a large crack in the side of it.csx put it in a transfer track with the I&O and then the I and O couldnt switch out hoppers from the elevator. I am thinking they pulled it off with cranes because of the tracks (on the ground) left from such equipment by the transfer track.have pics of the car if you would like.
