What is going to happen to the Bessemer and Lake Erie?

Recent articles I have read on CN's plans for the DM&IR got me thinking of one thing: What is CN planning to do with the Bessemer and Lake Erie?

I envision two things: First, to connect the B&LE to the rest of CN will involve trackage rights from Toledo to Conneaut (OH) over NS or CSX, and/or trackage rights from Erie, PA to Buffalo, NY (also over NS or CSX).

Second, I see a possible sale of the B&LE, most likely to RailAmerica or Genessee and Wyoming.

Any possibilities?

I would think that both B&LE and P&C Dock will be sold since they have no direct connection with the rest of CN. I would lean to GWI as the likely buyer since they already have railroads in the area.

I have absolutely no idea what they will do with the Great Lakes Fleet (8 self-unloaders).
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

While this is certainly possible, CN hasn't been selling much lately and I don't look for them to start now. Remember they do a fair business with the W&LE and I believe there is an intermodal facility in greater Pittsburgh the CN is already involved with via W&LE. A connection to Canada via water for some shipments is possible and the impression I have of the B&LE is it is in pretty decent repair with enough decent power to last quite a while as an independent operation. I'm sure CN will look at the books and possible efficiencies and decide if B&LE isd a keeper or not.
