Is it just me, or has anyone else missed Kathy Kube lately? Really can't
remember when I last saw her on a post[:(]

She's hard at work. It's a deadline week. I don't know if you know me, but I'm the Editorial Assistant for TRAINS and Classic Trains. I'm a budding railfan learning as I go. I'll let Kathi know she's missed!

Why don't you have a little Trains Icon under your name?

You've gotta get on top of that! [:D]

I'm here, I'm here, I'm here!

(Boy, I feel like a Who. Where's Horton when you need him?)

Anyway, as Angela pointed out, I've just been really busy. With the staffing changes around here lately, we're all digging in and doing more and different duties than we're used to yet. But it's all fun.

One thing I've been very busy with is writing a feature about a wonderful artist, Mitch Markovitz. Watch for the article in our October issue, which we're trying hard to get out the door sooner than later.

I've missed all of you, though. I'll try to be a little less of a stranger as things settle down around here. And I'll ask Bergie-Meister why the Awesome Angela doesn't have a TRAINS logo—she certainly deserves one. [:D]

Kathi, glad you ARE still around. All us ladies need to stick together on this forum.

Glad you are doing all right, though.

I know if I worked in Wisconson I know i'd be calling in sick a lot with that much steam running around 2816, 261, 1225 in Michigan, 6325 in Ohio. I think there is more steam running this month then When David P. Morgan and Phill Hastings made there "Steam Safari" in the 1950's.

Actually, nearly the entire staff turned out to see 2816 pass through Duplainville, and my husband, daughters and I waited for several hours to see 261 go through Wauwatosa. It's great when your boss announces the staff can leave work to go see a special train.

Life is grand, though.

Now I have to get back to compiling information for the Web site on the August issue or it won't be there on time Friday. It's a pretty cool issue, so be sure to check it out.

To Cherokee Woman, Mookie, and Nora: Don't worry, I won't leave ya.

Talk to you later!
Kathi
