There is a book in the Family Christian Bookstores about a woman who was attempting to commit suicide by train, but then only got her legs amputated. Purposefully jumping in front of a speeding train is a very bad choice for too many reasons.

A quick thinking off duty officer saved her life. Better news than someone getting hit and more crews and family being traumatized.
