Yup, that's just the way it is nowadays, you can never tell what railroad it is by looking at the power anymore.

You know what sucks is. Is when your track side on your favorite railroad waiting to get a photo shot of your railroad when over of a sudden the power in not what you expect.
In my case,A westbound hopper with UP power insted of pure BNSF power. Oh that realy makes me very mad.I want to get a shot of pure BNSF power then a UP showes up on BNSF rails.GRRR.

The sighting of a solid train of CSX containers on a UP freight on a BNSF line indicates maybe the UP is getting a handle on how to solve its problems.

How could things nearly meltdown for UP in Southern California and nobody seem to know why? (TRAINS, June 2004, page. 12, column 4, particularly paragraph 3a)

If someone gets punched in the face for doing what he or she were told to do, as word got around, who would do what they have been told to do anymore? Will not everybody then instinctively go strictly by the book, no matter how long it took, or even if it financially costs the company super dearly? And yet, hardly anybody would ever be able to pinpoint exactly what was going on because everybody WAS doing everything exactly by the book
