F3A cab interior color
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, June 19, 2004 2:09 PM
I asked this question on the model railroader forum, but noone was sure, so does anybody here know what color the interior of an F3A should be? I recently purchased an HO scale F3A(in Maine Central livery) that came with an interior kit, but it is molded in white and unpainted. [:D]Thanks in advance for any info!![:D]

The Ealy E's and F's had a tan cab interior and then it went to a geen color.

I recall institutional light green in NP and GN cabs. Most were F7's, some F3's

Most cabs at this time were painted a light green, called "Seafoam Green".

Most of the old units (a little newer than F3's) around the yards where I work are that light green (seafoam) interior.

Thanks to all for your input. It seems that light green(seafoam) was the color most of you would recommend. I also got the same answer from the Model Railroader forum as well, so it looks like I'll go with that! Thanks again!!!
