Con Cor Box sets - Help!!

For years, Kato made Con-Cor's locomotives, so that is nothing unusual, but it does mean that the set dates from the 1980's or earlier. Kato also made locomotives for Atlas in the late 1980's and early 1990's, before they started doing business in the US under their own name. Just curious, why did you post this under the prototype railroad topic when there is one for model railroads?

Con Cor Box sets - Help!!

I have been offered for sale a Con Cor c-liner, n gauage box set consisting of a powered unit, dummy unit freight cars and caboose in Union Pacific. However the Unit appears to be powered by KATO motor. Does anyone know if Con Cor used Kato engines? Excuse my ignrance I am new to thsi hobby. Thankyou.
