Question,

After I posted this schedule I sat down and read it. Can anyone clear up this one.

June 19th CP #2816 hauls 2 CPR and four #261 coaches carrying Milwaukee Road Historical Society members from Shoreham Yard to La Crescent, MN and back SOLD OUT.

According the MRHA webpage the trip on Friday June 19 is being pulled be Milw Rd #261 and it is going to Wabasha. MN. Anyont have any thoughts on this.

Anyone who can get out to see this loco should definately give it a go, it's most definately worth it.... spent a good few hours driving in the car to see it about a month ago and it was AWSOME!

Greetings,

I just saw this schedule on the "Railroad Forums" webpage. It appears to be quite detailed. I hope this helps anyone planning on chasing #2816 on those days.

The CPR Empress (2816), Canadian Pacific Railway's restored steam locomotive, makes its first visit to the Midwest this month and will be available for a limited number of one-way and roundtrips for employees and one guest each. Nominal fees, with proceeds going to food banks, will be charged.

We expect the July 2 roundtrip to Red Wing will be especially popular because the steamboat flotilla and the Milwaukee Road 261 steam locomotive will visit there that day as part of the Grand Excursion 150th anniversary celebration. See below for more details. Who: Canadian Pacific Railway employees in the Chicago & St. Paul Service Areas What: 2816 "Empress'' steam locomotive, coach cars When & Where:

This is east of the old post office and under the Highway 52 (Lafayette freeway) bridge. The Delta Queen and Mississippi
