Today wasnt a good day for a trainmaster on csx.First he had to deal with a engine that died.had to pull it into Defiance yard. Then he had to deal with a broken hopper car.the axles were fine but the backframe of the car was broken.asked me to give him a copy of the pictures.[:(]so it was a busy saturday for him.

To paraphrase a quip about Engiish cars....

'The parts falling off this train are of the highest level of CSX maintenance.'

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Oh well, at least things are still moving on the CSX mainline, unlike UP.

I have no sympathy; that's why they pay their trainmixers the "big bucks"...to clean up the little messes.

Update
the dead train in Defiance got power and moved on.They set the broken hopper on the transfer track with the Indiana and Ohio in Hamler.Imagine the I&Os surprise when they have cars for csx and cant put them on the transfer track.and what was I&Os power to move grain cars?a csx sd40-2 an ns dash 9 and a csx dash 8.How about that?

Oh god I sure hope not.
For one thing ...the CSXT can be helped....on the other hand It's the UP that CAN'T.
The CSXT did help the UP at one time or another, but this time Id say hell with it.
hehe hehe.
