[#ditto] Very glad that everyone is okay. I hope the trains were not delayed too much.

Buy an old B unit and park it next to your electric meter[:D]
But really, an emergency generator is a worthwhile investment.

I hate it when the ice guy can't get around.....

Not if large trees are across the tracks. [;)]

When I returned their call they told me that on Saturday they just completed the clean up of their yard. The previous group of storms did some damage to the privacy fence and I think maybe the garage. They had tree limbs thrown about the yard. This storm put new tree limbs into their yard, so another clean up is necessary. It is very possible that limbs and trees could have been across the tracks or even other debris. They also lost an amount of food that was stored in the icebox. [:(]

Without Power--AGAIN
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 31, 2004 10:33 AM
F Y I

I just got a phone call from Walt and Paula. I have dial up and was on the computer so I actually missed the call and they left a message on the voice mail. BUT, last night about 11 pm they lost electrical power again and are still without power now, it is 1030 Monday morning so they have been without power now almost 12 hours.

So while we are drinking our hot coffee remember they are drinking instant since they can't make regular. Now the next question is--are they at least getting to see some trains or are the trains stopped as well?

Well I must return their call and see how things are progressing for them. [;)]
