Reportedly, the suspicious person had made a bomb threat either before or after getting on the train.

I haven't found anything more recent posted anywhere, so the package was probably a dud. No news is good news...or at least a relief!

Thanks for the "extra". [:D]

There are been several "things" happen on trains here lately. An actress was shot in New York on one of the subway trains and there was another train related item just Wednesday morning but I can't remember what is was now.

We need to be watchful these days while we are in public. [:(]

That is a sad statement of our current affairs. [:(!]

Can any of our Chicago forum members add anything to this? The article kind of left us hanging. Anything new to report on the suspicious person, the package, or the arrest?

Wallyworld posted a link to a caboose fire in another thread. After reading that story I noticed a link to this story.

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/news/052804_ns_metra.html

Who can give us a follow up on what happened with the suspicious person and package.

Whatever the deal is, it is past time that we as a country woke up and keep a tighter grip on our borders.

I am thankful nothing serious happened to the people on this train or to the train itself.

Be on guard now whereever you go. Keep your eyes and ears open.

I guess I would have had more responses IF I had added the link when I first posted the thread and not 2 or 3 days later. [B)] [:0] [V]
