Contact List idea, input needed
Posted by bnsfkline on Friday, May 28, 2004 10:15 PM
I saw, All of us should get each others phone numbers, and call each other once in a while. It would be intresting to talk to each other in real time instead of over the forums. Just an Idea.....of course the info would be exchanged via E-mail.

Well with the way that many cell phone plans are going, long distance is the same as a regular call. I would certainly be open to this idea. I already do it with a friend in the next town...

I agree with it.

There was a discussion on the forums not to long ago about the blue tarped passenger cars being hauled by NS. It would have been interesting to have called someone in other areas to get an idea on it's travel time, route taken, etc.

I know that on the Kentucky Yahoo Railfan message board they will at times post when certain trains are leaving, where in route, destination, and what power is being used.

A phone call could speed things up since a lot of us probably don't check our email until certain times.
