Teamster action results in 2,000 job losses CHICAGO -- USF Corporation issued a press release May 23 that it is shutting down its USF Red Star trucking company immediately following a job action by the Teamsters union. More than 2,000 employees lost their jobs. Red Star said the work stoppage created "a loss of customers and revenue to a point where Red Star would never be able to recover from the business losses caused by this Teamster job action."
