The Cowboy line rides again!

A consortium of grain elevators that operates 74 miles of line from Chadron to Merriman NE, is offering Friday and Saturday night dining car excursions from Chadron into Pine Ridge and back!

How about that sports fans!

What may be of interest is they are using a 1952 passenger car that used to run on the PRR, the trackage is former C&NW - unused since 1958 and they are using a GP-7 that used to run on the Cowboy Line!

During the week, the trains haul corn, wheat and millet at 10 mph, some road rock and logs from Pine Ridge and they store cars for other rail lines.

It's Nebkota and $35 for dinner - y'all come!

Yum

Good deal, only $35 bucks.

They used to have a dinner train running up at north vancouver but it was much more expensive.

Always good to see the raillines keeping busy.
