HELP! Burro crane drawings needed!
Posted by Noah Hofrichter on Monday, April 26, 2004 4:29 PM
I have been searching allover the internet to no avail, so I thought I'd try here. I Would like to find drawings including dimentions and things for a Burro crane like this one:

I would like to scratch build it, and I would like to start from plans. Anything close will do.
This is one of my last resorts, so any help is greatly apreciated.

locmutt...
your not going to get plans for a crain on the websight..but that sight dose give you an address and phone number to call....write them a letter..or make a phone call..telling them who you are..what you want..and why you want it.... and they just might send you the plans you want..it might cost you somthing to get them though...
.when i was in high school... i had a CADD class...and for a project..i wanted to draw a SD-40...so to get some info on it..i wrote EMD to get a set of over all prints...they sent me a letter back saying send them a check for about 200 bucks to cover the duplicating ... file look up..and shipping costs..and i can have a set of SD-40 prints..... needless to say..being in high school..i didnt have that kind of ca***o send to them for the prints..so i never got them....but they where more then willing to send them for the cash...
write them a letter..or make the call...the worst they can say is....nope..sorry cant help you....

To add to what to what csxengineer said, I went to the page that csxengineer gave, clicked on contact us, and sent an email to the last guy on the page, he's the one who's looking into it for me.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

Your welcome locomutt, glad I could help you.

DSchmitt, thank you. I tried searching the index of magazines but couldn't see anything right of hand, thanks again.

csxengineer, thank you as well. hopefully the guy will e-mail me back about finding the plans soon, he's still looking right now.

Its not indexed properly. I did 4 searches before I found it, and I knew it existed.
I found one of the other articles in the series, saw that it was named "Timber Gang", then did a title search.

I will see what I can find. I work in that department on the CP in Milwaukee, Wis. and we do use them no more. But I will see if the repairt shop in Cutahy will have some thing on it and get back on it.
