train/car fatalities?
Posted by piggyjo on Monday, April 19, 2004 8:34 PM
My boyfriend's cousin by marriage was killed about 10 days ago, when he drove in front of a train. Does anyone happen to know the recent fatality rate?
I was just wondering, because I don't see how it can still happen, people ought to know better by now. [:(]

I believe from Jan 08 to March 29 of 2004, the FRA has recorded 126 crossing accidents thus far.....

Sorry, in hindsight I should make clear that I did not read through the reports to count for fatalities but only for the recorded number of crossing accidents. It is public record if you want to go to FRA net site and read through and count them yourself.
