160.860 is the road channel which crews call signals on. I am unsure of 160.485, but if it is the channel you hear the IG dispatcher on, and all you want to hear are crews calling signals, don't program it in. 160.800 is also used in this area, as you know. It too, is a dispatcher channel. I believe it is also used as the yard channel, but I'm not sure.

Thanks Rich, that's a big help. At least you told me and like other people they won't anwser the question. When ask something, that person should do it or tell you it. I don't mean in a mean way either but when counting on someone to anwser this question you wait and wait and if no anwser you start getting angry. I'm not mad anymore now I know and this post dosen't have to be anwsered anymore. Thanks Rich.

See now, that's the neat part about a scanner - you can just put all of them in!

I have all though's frequencies in my scanner. Can someone anwser my question I asked above about if 160.860 through Berea on the CSX is the one that the engineers call the signals on and the other question I asked at 2:49PM yesterday?

Somebody please anwser these two questions above I asked. It's that easy. Just anwser them. I told you people all I want is this questioned to be anwsered and then I'll go away for ahwhile on this matter. Not blaming you tree68, not your fault. Just somebody anwser it. I'm trying not to get angry but when your counting on something you asked to a person they should anwser you right away. Not counting the people that don't know. I'm counting on the people that do know this matter and please anwser it above. Thanks Again!Angry

Google is a wonderful thing.   Here's what I got when I searched for "Berea Frequencies:"

These are the radio frequencies for your scanner while at Berea:
  •  CSX "IG" Dispatcher - Berea-Greenwich - 160.485

  •  CSX "IG" Dispatcher - Berea-Greenwich - 160.860

    • In 2/09, CSX reassigned the Columbus Line from Berea to Greenwich from the "IF" dispatcher to the "IG" dispatcher (who also controls the Short Line to Collinwood), but this expanded territory retains the former "IF" frequencies.

  •  CSX Columbia Detector - 160.860 (A little difficult to hear)

  •  CSX "IG" Dispatcher - Berea-Collinwood - 160.800

  •  CSX "IG" Dispatcher - Collinwood - 160.995

  •  NS Cleveland Terminal Dispatcher - 161.070

  •  NS Rockport Yardmasters - 161.070 and 160.350

  •  NS Toledo East Dispatcher - 160.980

  •  NS Olmsted Falls Detector - 160.980 (Quite difficult to hear)

Enjoy.

Is 160.860 the frequency that calls the signals through Berea on the CSX Mainline or is it something else. I just want the one the engineers call the signals on. Sorry to bother people. Probably but not yet sure but when the IX Center Show is going on, on the 14 and 15 I'll go to Berea on the 14th. I'm not sure yet. What's with 160.485. I'm getting confused because 160.485 is IG and 160.860 is IG. I thought they have to be different. Please get back to me on most of this. After when I get this settled down I'll be ok.

I don't know the specific answer, but channels in use tend to run over long stretches of track - if you have adjacent frequencies, you're probably all set.

This is the last frequency question I'm going ask unless I go on a trip somewhere far. Can someone please just ask me this last question I want to be anwsered. Can I use 160.860 for the Mainline through Berea Ohio and what's the NS mainline frequency through Berea Ohio also.
