I'm sorry but you were kinda pissing people off...and I defended you at first but then you got to be a pain in the ***...so I went to the other side...in conclusion I forgive ya...because everybody is young at one time and can't keep their mouth shut...but you may have taken it too far for some fellow posters. Good day.

Doggy -

First off - read my entire post before you hit "reply."

Let's just say you tend to be a bit quick off the keyboard at times, resulting in some comments that would have been better off not said. Your comments have tended to show a lack of understanding of the entire issue, especially when you go off on one single part of a post or reply, often completely out of the context of the thread. You would seem to have no regard for anyone's opinion but your own.

Several of your topics have given the impression that you weren't really asking a question in an attempt to learn something, but that you had an agenda you wanted to forward. Your several topics dealing with alcohol were particularly grating, since they came off as accusations instead of springboards for discussion. While a little good-natured jesting is fun, there is no reason to ever pick a fight.

As you can see from the posts above, you've made some enemies. Your task now is to regain the trust of those who don't like you. You may be able to do so by limiting your posts for a while to bonafide questions (minus the qualifications - "if such-and-such," and answers to questions that you actually know the answer to. If you are going to ask a question, think about it for a minute. Is it a no-brainer (Rule G)? Is a question with no answer (the best RR station)? If so, think about rephrasing it, or don't ask it at all.

Above all else, think about what you are going to say before you write it, then read it again before you hit "submit". I've had more than a few occasions when I had a reply just about ready to post, then decided not to send it, especially after looking back at what I thought I was replying to.

Now, before you compose a reply to this post - consider that there is nothing here that you need to reply to. This is my advice to you, and the best thing you can do is read it and apply it as you see fit. If I've hit a nerve, you need to figure out why, not lash out. That's what got you where you are in the first place.

Doggy

When I was your age, some 40 years ago, I would do the same as you And it got me into a lot of trouble. In fact, from time to time I still do it because some subjects abslutely throw a big-hole in my attitudes. So, even though I have "grown up" quite a bit, old habits remain.

SO, follow Larry's advice. I am not angry at you, but I sure have felt bad about this subject because I remember how it was with me. Do your best, always look forward and not behind because you can change what you will do in the future but you can not change what has been done already.

Let's see you change, buddy. Go for it!

Doggy, though you lack in maturity to decipher the intent of the response to some of your posts and/or responses doesn't mean you don't have a valid reason to question. At your age I questioned EVERTHING! I still question a lot... how else are you gonna learn? Knowing how to pick your battles and choose your words comes with experience. Keep asking the questions- just maybe hold off on the 'submit' button until youv'e really thought it through.Just a suggestion.

Well Doggy, I must say that I'm really quite imperssed by the fact that you chose to come out and apologize like this. It shows a maturity that many here felt you did not possess. And to think you had it in you all of the time.

Respect is not something automaticaly given, it has to be earned. Your past is full of incidents that have cost you dearly in that regard.

Today, you are moving forward, and growing up. I think that many of us would not mind getting to know this new Doggy, so long as you keep the old Doggy on a short leash.[swg]

Doggy (and others)

We do have a group of forum people who chat daily on msn messenger chat. If you were a part of this group you could ask your questions to the people in chat and let them give you their feelings about your topics before you posted them. This way if the topic was a "no-brainer" they could tell you and you could not post it, but if it was something that might really be a good topic then they could give you the "go ahead" and you could post it.

Consider downloading msn messenger and joining this group. Some of the people in the group are myself, Larry (Tree68), Nora, Joe, Kevin, Mikey Gaw, dougal, CNWfan5525, Alaskaman, Sask_Tinplater, and just so many more I can't even name them all. Some are railroaders, some are railfans, some are modelers, but all have a love of trains. Some of the group are junior high, some are high school, some are college age, and some are over 25 [;)] .

Everyone is welcome in this group. The msn messenger download is free and quick. Many people in this group also display the msn icon in their posts. If you see that icon you can click on it and see their msn addy. Follow the directions to download the messenger and add people to your buddy list.

These people will not steer you wrong. Join the group and bounce your ideas off them before you post. Try it, you'll like it. [:D] [;)]

Doggy- First off No one hates you. No one would ever, or should evr admit to hating as that is an abnormal human emotion, and pure hatred should never be displayed in any situation.

No oine hates, I can talk for everyone. I personally wasn't party to any of the latter arguments, So i really can't comment about your situation.
and it would appear, those threads or thread have been deleted, much to my surprise.

I can say this, Anyone who holds this aginst you, for loosing your temper is nothing more thne a bigot and hypocrite, because everyone has lost there temper at one point or another in their life time, and me saying once or twice in their l;ife is being very generous, it's more like once or twice a day.

The fact is, no one should hold this aginst you, its a minor stepping stone in the path of life, it will happen again, and you will learn from your errors.

See doggy, life is all about learning. no matter how old you are, your never to old to learn.

evedently some members of this forum knew how to treat people perfectly from the moment they exited momies womb, these people should be nominated for Sainthood, because, they are so much better then everyone else. I can admit it, Doggy, I lose my temper frequently too, and get angry at people I would rather not get angry at.

So ignore the Hypocrites, Dogg, Not only do I commend you for apologizing, You have showed up a select few of your immature forum members.

apology accepted with no hard feelings.
