Noah,
Go to google and type in the name of the company and go to their corporate page....Trininty, Gunderson, Thrall...all have some info but pretty basic....TTX also has a good site with car descriptions and such.

Trains recently had an article on freight car producers. It was a couple of months ago. You could use that and a seach engine to find most sites. One thing to not is that their have been many mergers recently. For example, Thrall and Trinity merged a few years ago to form Trinity Rail Group. So the number of companies has recently dropped dramatically in the same way that the Class 1 railroads have. (If I had that Trains with me I would name them for you. But it was pretty easy for me to find the links.)

And if you have any luck shoot me an email. I've had the same idea.[;)]

In Danville, my home terminal on CSX we do a lot of work with Johnstown America Coporation. They've been turning out about a unit train a week for coal hoppers. Here's the website, they have several locations in the U.S. http://www.johnstownamerica.com/index.htm

I was just wondering if any body knows any of the current railroad car builders websites, and if they might include plans of the measurements of the cars, that I could scale down to scratch build them. Any help is appreciated.[:D]
