Do.....

your spouses, significant other, children, parents, neighbors, siblings, boss, co-workers etc - ever read over your shoulder while you are on the forums?

And their reaction is?

I print out a few things to take home to the driver - information items, of course. He doesn't want to read about me flirting with all the young guys! [;)]

My current domestic partner does occasionally thinking that this is really an online dating service and that I'm cheating.....

My daughter does occasionally, most of the time when she's supposed to be doing homework and I'm supposed to be helping her. My son thinks of trains both model and otherwise as a diversion...If I'm focused on them..then the spotlight is not on him....

Well, the dog does get jealous that I'm caressing the keyboard and not her tummy (gotta rub that tummy!), but both kids are out of the house & the ex is on the left coast, so no.

Nope...after this long on the RR my wife wants nothing to do with it...possibly the only thing she hates more is the 3:00am phone call from the crew dispatcher...

Their reaction is: "why do you like trains" (I don't see anything in them so they can't be all that). The part that is in parenthesis is probably what most of them are thinking but the key word is "thinking" because negative railroad comments without just cause from non-railfans are prohibited in this home.

Yes, locomutt does read over my shoulder at times (hey, he's TALLER than I) and a lot of time he calls ME out to the computer when he's up on the forum to have me read something.

If he hears me laughing about something funny I read on the forum, he comes automatically to find out what I'm laughing about.

My wife stays away from this computer, but I'm pretty sure she's on to us, Sis!

I pass along some of the jokes to her; she's not especially interested in the railroady things.

This is an equitable division of things, though...Comcast gives us one bill for both our Internet access and our cable TV...she handles the remote in our family, and I just play... work! on the computer!

My wife thinks i'm nuts -- but she's thought that now for 36 years... on the other hand my cats, A&B, always check it out to see what Mookie's been up to now!
