So apparently the local police are again letting railrans park on the overpass and watch trains? Last I heard, several months ago, they were shooing people away. Anyone know what happened?

I grew up in nearby Alpha, IL (on the BN mainline to Savana) and I've spent several trip back to the area on the bridge that crosses the yard. I've never encountered any problems with the police.

Allow me to recommend a website for all of my fellow Galesburg fans
www.billselleck.net. It is a very complete site with lots of photos maps and info about Galesburg and the surrounding area. Very useful for railfanning or just casual browsing. It takes a while to go through the entire site and all the links.

Bill Selleck is a superb model railroader also who usually has a layout display at the Carl Sandburg College train show during RR Days.
