I can back up Traingeek - I read the article in the paper here in LIncoln. I think some smaller towns are so used to having so many trains in and around them, they become complacent. Who really knows what goes through any human's mind - pull around a long line of cars and run right into the side of a train doing switching at an elevator - in broad daylight. And this was many years ago...[:(]

Is there a reason the photos are just red X's in boxes to me?

I'm just your average, everyday, uncivilized howling "anti-government" critic of mass government expenditures for "High Speed Rail" in the US. And I'm gosh darn proud of that.

That's sad why do we put this on? Don't we have better things talk about?

In Hastings,Nebraska a man was killed yesterday after hitting a empty intermodal train parked across the tracks. Normally I wouldn't put this on, but I have infromation and photos on the train(s). these cars were being stored on a branchline that runs from York, Nebraska, to Bennedict, Nebraska seven miles to the north. York is on the BNSF powder river basin line 100 miles outside Lincoln. Hastings is on the Denver line that Amtraks Calafornia Zephyr runs over. Roughly 200 miles away. here's a photo of when they first started pulling these cars out roughly 2 weeks ago. BN is holding no responsability for this because it was a marked crossing. I'll try to get some more photos soon.
