I'm sending up a prayer for you now that you will be able to return to your favorite activities, sooner rather than later, with good memories of the times you shared with a good friend.

Jim,

I'm sorry for your loss.  I will pray for you to find the strength and solace to get through this and live your life as best as you can, as I'd bet she would want you to do.  You and your families have mine and my wife's condolances.

Terribly sorry to hear of your loss.   As a religious individual, I truly believe the spirits of the rightous departed live on with an even stronger connection to the Eternal.  For me, Heaven would be for my spirit to be able to help friends, offspring, and students, to happier and more successful lives, so I believe that Saveria's spirit will be with you and share in joys that will surely come to you in the future.

Jim, I cannot put into words how it makes me feel to hear that you have lost a loved one. Remember, when you get trackside again, she will be there.

 Jim,

Sorry to hear about your loss, my thoughts are with you. Twenty two is way too young of an age to pass away.

Jim,

My deepest, heartfelt sentiments to you as well. Take some time to grieve and get back out trackside as soon as you feel ready. I'm sure, from your description, that Saveria would want you to.

It is very sad news that both of you lost your mutual struggle for her life.  I am sure she hated to go, knowing how much you would hurt today and in the weeks ahead.  I feel that in time, the fact that she loved you and spent time with you as you pursued your passion with trains will be a warm comfort...some guys never do find a woman who gives herself completely.  That will be a warm thought for you in times ahead...not today, we know that...but in time.

Don't be afraid, or reluctant, to go back to the rails and scream out your grief and anger.  The rails will listen patiently.

I have no words that can ease your pain.  Only smpathy and a regret that someone so young passed from this life.

When my own loved ones passed away I was able to take solace in my belief that the loss was mine, not their's.  If you share that belief I pray that it helps you.  May she rest in peace enjoying the eternal love of God.

Just remember Jim, she will be listening to the train horns and she will also be watching those trains pass from her vantage point as you do so from yours, so you will never really be alone while railfanning.  Believe that and you will have more solace than otherwise.  God bless!

Jim, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss--you sounded so positive this weekend, so it must have been especially gut-wrenching to lose her.  Of course, you never will completely lose her, but there will be a time--and I hope it's soon--that it won't hurt as much.

Take it easy, and good luck.

bnsfkline is now mourning....

It comes with great, great Sadness to report that my Fiancee....Saveria DiBlasi....Passed away this afternoon at 1:01 PM Central Standard time due to the complications from pneumonia and infection of her lungs. The infection had moved into her blood on Friday night and at 12:59 this afternoon went into cardiac arrest. She was pronounced dead at 1:01, 2 minutes later.

She was a great railfan companion, always loving supportive of my hobby. She never really liked trains, but tolorated them knowing that I am a Die-Hard.

For the Time Being, I am not going to do any train-watching what-so-ever. I have too many memories of use going out and chasing trains at my favorite locations.
