Correction in spelling - should be "forest" green!

If memory serves, DL&W stations were usually a dark grass green (not quite forsest green) with orange trim around the windows. The road also had many concrete stations and towers which were the natural grey/yellowish cement color with black signs bearing gold lettering ( a few of those in the NJ electric suburban zone - Brick Church, I think, maybe Madison - were lettered in Olde English font!

The N Scale Architect has just released a kit for a DL&W tower and station. Railway Design Associates (out of business) had a kit for a DL&W 19th century station. N Scale Architect again has a bridge that is a loose adaptation of the DL&W Delaware River crossing. Showcase Miniatures Ft. Davis station, although of a station in Alabama, looks like a 19th century DL&W station as well.

As far as N scale buildings, I can be of no help. As far as DL&W structure photos, check out this site. If there is nothing there that you are looking for, I would e-mail one of the many names on the e-mail list, as they are mostly ex-EL, Erie, and DL&W employees.

Hi folks,

Can anybody tell me in what colours did the Delaware Lackawanna & Western pains its buildings (stations, shanties, etc...). Also can anybody suggest me some N scale building kits which would pass as DL&W structures?
