They use them to test the car scales so that they can caluculate weight of the train.

warnings were to not use the car to switch other cars with (inconjunction with an engine) And the "Handle " warnng is that the car should be the last car or the car before the caboose on the end of a train.

and don't repair car without scale inspector because it could cahnge the weight of teh car and mess up scale calibraion.

What did Burlington Northern use it's scale test cars for. Who owned teh cars before Burlington Northern. Does anyone still use them? Can anyone explain to me what the warnings mean printed on teh  top of the car? Thanks!
