I remember reading that there was going to be consolidation with yards on BNSF.

This is two years old!!!!!

Obviously the Oakland International Gateway and the Stocton site are taking care of the TOFC/COFC business and the Richmond facility has been closed for that business. If there were any service problems it would have made the news long ago. Things keep changing, and apparently for the better as stack trains and TOFC keeps growing from this area on the BNSF.

BNSF Richmond Terminal

In this satellite photograph of BNSF's Richmond, CA terminal, there are only two trailers in the lot, the cranes are parked away from the tracks, one track is empty, the other only has empty spine cars and 89' flatcars on it.

It was unimaginable to me that BNSF would close its Richmond facility, so imagine my shock when I found this document.
