WGN TV Chicago had video of the crash aftermath, I would have to say the garbage truck lost this one, it was turned over and the train remained on the track, the loco had a lot of damage, I did not hear how fast the train was moving, but it was fast enough to knock the truck clear of the tracks. What a mess!!

I think I'm going to call this one a tie....both the garbage truck and the lead engine lost in this matchup! No word on the crewmembers yet. Looks like a majority of the passengers came away with minor scrapes/bruises.
