Things are looking up a little for steam this summer. The CN's 4-6-4 will be in the USA, the Milw Rd 261 will be doing a lot of running in the midwest, and now this news.

I saw and photographed 765 in action 20 years ago. She is a real beauty and one-of-a-kind. The story is told of an old timer and a young gentleman standing by the tracks as she went by the plant where she was built. The old timer had removed his cap and when his companion didn't, he slapped him with his cap and said, "Take off your hat you ***. They don't make them like that any more!"

Boy is that ever true! I hope to see her on the rails again. I have a grandson who needs to see her.
